Rhys raises the dead in new Oasis video.


RUTHIN'S Rhys Ifans stars as an undertaker in the video for Oasis' new single.

The award-winning North Wales actor plays the part of a funeral director and shows off his dancing skills The video for The Importance Of Being Idle, released on August 22, will be premiered this Friday on Channel 4.

Ifans, who won a Bafta for his portrayal of comic legend Peter Cook in Not Only But Always, is seen high-kicking his way through a New Orleans-style funeral procession leaving onlookers bemused.

The video is said to be styled in a 1960s fashion similar to classic films such as Up The Junction and Saturday Night And Sunday Morning The single is the second to be released from the Manchester band's acclaimed new album Don't Believe The Truth. It follows on from number one single Lyla.

The album reached No1 only to be knocked off by Coldplay's X&Y
