A SOUTH Liverpool driver has clocked up a staggering 51 penalty points - making the L19 motorist the joint worst in Britain.
Overall, Liverpool's worst drivers live in Everton and Vauxhall.
Data from the Department for Transport shows motorists in the L3 postcode area have the most penalty points in the city.
The statistics show 8.6% of L3 drivers have at least one penalty point on their licence.
Hot on L3's heels is the L17 area of Aigburth and Sefton Park, where 8.1% of drivers have at least a point on their licence. Motorists in the L2 postcode, in the city centre, are the best drivers as just 4.6% have penalty points.
As many as 120 drivers in the Liverpool postcode area currently have 12 points or more on their licences.
Drivers who build up 12 or more penalty points within three years can be banned from driving for six months.
The points stay on a driver's licence for between four and 11 years.
The PH39 postcode, which covers the Arisaig area, in the Scottish Highlands, is home to Britain's worst drivers. A whopping 15% of motorists have points on their licence.
