I am looking for members of the family of Elizabeth Greener. She was born in April 1897, in the Gateshead area and married Abraham Marshall. They lived at 3 Burn Street in Gateshead until about 1936, when Elizabeth died. Elizabeth had a brother called John, who was born 1900 and a sister called Mary, who was born 1891.

Elizabeth's parents were John Greener, who was born about 1866, and Annie Batey, born in 1868 in Jarrow.

If you know anyone or are connected with this family I would like to hear from you. Contact George Marshall by email on: or by mobile on: 07957 408 337.

GEORGE MARSHALL, 136 Bullhead Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire WD6 IRL.

I AM trying to trace the parents of my grandfather, William Smith, who was born in Newcastle on November 22, 1892, and died on December, 21, 1977. He was married to Susan Birdie-O'Hara and was born in Roscommon, Ireland. We are led to believe she was born on June 10, 1890 and died in Newcastle in May, 1989. Her children were Mary, Margaret, Eileen, William and Freddie, know to have resided in George Street, Elswick, Clarence Street, Pandon Court and Shielfield, Newcastle. He was known to have a sister, Katie/Kathleen/Katherine.

Any photographs or information will be greatly appreciated to complete my family tree.

IN the next couple of months I am leaving to go to live in Spain and would be grateful if, through Reunited, I can contact any friends with whom I have lost touch. My name is Alec Grey, but to my old friends I was known as Sandy. Please phone (01670) 363 746.

I AM trying to trace an old Geordie Army buddy whose name is Bill Heron. He rejoined the Royal Army Pay Corps in August, 1962, after National Service. I trained with him in Worthy Down, Winchester, 1962-63. We served together in Hong Kong, 1971-72. Bill had a wife, Margaret, a son, David, and an older daughter.

I would really like to meet Bill again as he was a good mate.

I AM trying to trace Paul Davison, who will be aged about 36. His last known address is Shiremoor when he was seven to nine months old. He also had family in the Wallsend area.

I was his foster mother from eight weeks until he was nine months. Please contact Margaret Findlay on (0191) 253 2509.
