Reunited.

I am currently in the last year of a part-time Humanities Degree at the University of Newcastle and my main interest is local history. During an earlier stage of the Degree I undertook a study of the Women's Land Army during World War Two.

My current project is to widen this research, looking at the auxiliary armed forces, ATS, WAAF, WRENS and compare the wartime experience of these women with that of munitions or similar factory workers.

If any of your readers who were in the women's forces or munitions factories during World War Two would like to help with this project by sharing their wartime work experiences, I would be very grateful. I can be contacted during the day on 0191 477 3763 or in the evening on 0191 413 4924. MRS M J MITCHELL, Ryton.
