Retail opportunities at Masshouse and Hive.

Aspiring shopkeepers with their eye on the potential consumer market offered by the Masshouse and Hive developments in Eastside need to contact BWD to book their space.

Nikal has appointed the Birminghambased retail property consultants to market four retail units there.

Ranging from 2,136 sq ft to 5,950 sq ft for lease or sale, they can help to support Eastside's growing community through the provision of much needed local convenience and leisure facilities.

Simon James, sales director for Nikal commented: "Hive reached practical completion in April, bringing more than 300 new homes to Eastside and creating a buoyant community.

"We want an exciting retail mix and are therefore very open to considering retailers and operators from all sectors, including both privately owned and independent businesses.

"With a strong residential, education and business community in Eastside there is a very cosmopolitan consumer market here and one which we believe the right occupants could capitalise on extremely quickly."

Featuring full height glazing the retail units offer a choice of frontages facing Moor Street Queensway, the A47, Albert Street and the newly-created pedestrian promenade between Masshouse and Hive. Three units are available on the ground ?oor of Masshouse with the fourth positioned within the ground ?oor of Hive.

Richard Bidwell, director of BWD added: "Hive and Masshouse are in a prime position between Moor Street Station and Millennium Point and surrounded by educational facilities such as Matthew Boulton College, Aston University and Birmingham City University.

"The future bene.ts offered by the developments' close proximity to the proposed High Speed 2 rail terminus at Curzon Street, new City Park and 174-bedroom Hotel La Tour due to open in February 2012 should also not be overlooked."
