Respect is deserved.

News that Cardiff council workers have been given powers to tackle anti-social behaviour is bound to be met with some scepticism. Only time will tell if yobs will give their names and addresses to someone other than a police officer.

It will be interesting to see how the public reacts to the nine council staff, now known as accredited persons (APs).

One thing is certain: they should be shown respect for trying to improve our city.
