Resort wear: summer '04.

In their spring and summer collections, top designers from around the world offer an abundance of designs that are perfect for summer resort wear. Whether you are vacationing in the Caribbean, on the beaches of Florida or California, on a Mediterranean cruise or simply enjoying your family reunion, you want to make sure your summer resort wardrobe is flattering, fun and stylishly current. According to designers in New York and Paris, you can't go wrong with hot colors--lime green, tangerine orange, hot pink and lemon yellow. Of course, black and white, and combinations thereof, are always stylish. Popular on the runways were flirty layered chiffon dresses and transparent fabrics for beach cover-ups. Tassels, fringe and ribbons were often used as accents. Take inspiration from the summer designs shown on these pages and update your vacation wardrobe.
