Resort hotel considering expansion; NEWS WIRE.

FORMBY Hall Golf Resort and Spa could soon become even bigger - with a new spa building, clubhouse and a string of woodland lodges.

US owners HIG Capital invested PS2.4m into the resort last year, renovating the restaurant and bar, as well as redecorating the hotel's 62 bedrooms and creating 14 new loft bedrooms.

In spring of last year, the health club and fitness studio had its heated swimming pool extended.

Further improvements now look set to take place.

While a planning application has yet to go in to Sefton Council, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been commissioned for an extension to the existing hotel.
