Residents reminded to fill in voter forms.

AROUND a third of households across Stockton are yet to complete their 2011 voter registration forms.

Stockton Council currently has more than 50 canvassers visiting homes across the area.

However, the council says this is time-consuming and costly.

But responding online, by freephone or text is considerably cheaper and quicker and if there are any changes to be made, simply return the form in the post.

Anyone requiring assistance, can contact the council's electoral team on 01642 526197.

All 2011 canvassers wear photo identification badges and will never ask for money, bank details or to enter a property.

Anyone who is unsure about the identity of someone claiming to be a canvasser should ask to see their proof of identity before answering any questions.
