Republic Airways to buy 1m shares of its common stock.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Republic Airways Holdings (Nasdaq:RJET) has announced that it has agreed to buy 1m shares of its common stock, par value USD0.001 per share, from its former majority shareholder WexAir LLC, at a price of USD20.20 per share, for a total consideration of USD20.2m.

The company said the transaction is expected to be settled on 14 September 2007. The purchase is authorised under a USD100m share repurchase programme, which had been previously announced.
