Renowned interior designer brings firm's vision to life.

COALCO New York, a division of COALCO International LLC., announced the opening of its opulent new office, encompassing the entire 22nd floor of the brand new soaring glass-wrapped office tower at 505 Fifth Ave.

Renowned interior designer Rick Livingston, founder of PERIOD[R], customized the space in the luxurious style that distinguishes COALCO's projects.

After working together on the luxe Element Condominiums, a COALCO, Brack Capital and Continental Ventures Realty development, COALCO hired Livingston to bring to life the company's vision for a space that could be used as much for entertaining as for work. The spacious office is complete with luxury residential design and amenities that include a butler's pantry, a bar and VIP entertaining lounge.

"We were so impressed by Rick's phenomenal design at Element, we knew he would create an office so lavish it doesn't feel like an office," said Edward Baquero, managing partner of COALCO. "This office is part of our brand, so we wanted the office to convey the same attention to detail as we do to our developments."

"PERIOD is committed to creating environments that are both functional and aesthetically superior," explains Livingston. "Our staff brings a unique combination of creative and technical talent to each project and the new COALCO space is a true reflection of our work in terms of balancing function and real-life living."

Located at one of New York City's most vibrant retail and transportation crossroads, 505 Fifth Ave. was designed by award-winning architecture firm Kohn Pederson Fox Associates and features a lobby with an elaborate light installation designed by artist, James Turreli. Built in 2005, the 275,000-square-foot building boasts 24-hour, white-glove concierge services, advanced security systems and easy access to Grand Central Station.

The office boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with direct views of Bryant Park, the Empire State Building and up Fifth Avenue to Central Park. State-of-the-art technology features and video conferencing allows COALCO to link to its international offices and conduct live meetings.
