Renovated building lures Kraft Foods as tenant.

In a major commercial lease transaction, Kraft General Foods (KGF) signed a long-term lease for nearly 30,000 square feet in Cali Associates' newly renovated 65 Jackson Drive building in Cranford, announced Brant Cali, a senior partner at Cali Associates.

KGF is consolidating several sales office locations in this move, and is expected to occupy its new space in September. The nation's largest food company will house its new local sales office at 65 Jackson Drive on the first and second floors.

Cali Associates recently refurbished the lobby and all common areas tory, 83,000-square-foot office building. in addition, a 24-hour, card access system was installed for tenants' convenience when working beyond normal business hours.

Edwin Cohen, executive vice president, and Dave Warren, vice president, of Wm A. White/Grubb & Ellis represented Kraft General Foods in the transaction. Jim Nugent, senior director of leasing, and Michael Nevins, director of leasing, negotiated the lease on behalf of Cali Associates.
