Rembrandt lager imported from Holland.

A new import from Holland has recently touched down on these shores - Rembrandt Masterpiece lager beer. The brand is produced in Holland by a division of United Dutch Breweries/Allied Lyons.

The Rembrandt Masterpiece Corporation, together with national distributor New Parrot & Co. has had the beer in test market in Hawaii for a year.

Four months ago, the test market effort was expanded to include Texas, Nevada and Florida.

Based on successful performance in the test markets, the company says that it is poised to begin national distribution.

The beer is packaged in 12-oz. bottles with a portrait of the beer's namesake, famed Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn, on the label.

According to the importer, the brand will be positioned as a "specialty imported beer," at a price point comparable to other imported specialty brands.
