BEIRUT: The 35th Conference of Arab Police and Security concluded its work Thursday and issued several recommendations to strengthen Arab action in the field of security.

The conference, which kicked off Wednesday at Le Royal Hotel in Dbayyeh, was sponsored by President Michel Sleiman and attended by police chiefs from across the Arab world.

Recommendations made included calling on member states to spread human rights culture among workers in the fields of police and security through specialized programs and creating a course on human rights for the curricula of police academies.
