Region's seafood is celebrated.

A NUMBER of restaurants across Anglesey and Gwynedd are celebrating after hosting a series of sell-out special evenings to champion the region's seafood.

The June events were supported by the Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) and delivered by Menter Mon.

Their aim was to promote the wealth and high quality of local produce on the island as well as support local seafood producers.

The Anglesey restaurants taking part in the scheme were Tavern on the Bay in Red Wharf Bay; The Lobster Pot in Church Bay, Newborough's Marram Grass and Ann's Pantry in Moelfre.

The Gwynedd restaurants were Sblash Caban Pysgod in Aberdaron, Tafarn y Plu in Llanystumdwy, Ty Newydd in Aberdaron and Dylanwad Da in Dolgellau.
