Regency Holidays launches Qatar's first 'Glamping' experience.

One doesn't have to go very far if ever there is a feeling to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Thanks to Regency Group Holding for giving desert camping a new definition: Glamping Camping in Glamour.

Over 350 guests were invited to the launch of the 'Regency Holiday's Desert Camp' to escape, explore and enjoy this lovely camping site situated in the thick of Sealine desert where it meets the clear blue waters of Gulf sea.

"We are at the launch of a world class camping resort backed with five star facilities targeting all kinds of customers including families and international tourists," said Regency Group Inbound-Deputy General Manager Omar al Jaser."

"With the support of Qatar Tourism Authority we are keenly looking forward at promoting Qatar as a tourist destination," he added.

Regency Holidays Desert Camp currently offers 15 tents, each with king-size double bed occupancy. There are also 15 sets of luxuriously designed gazebos on shore for guests to laze around and have fun on the beach. Other outdoor facilities for the visitors include desert safari, camel ride, dune buggy tours, jet skis and so on. The camp also offers tours to Zikrit, Shamal and Dukhan.

Regency Travels and Tours CEO Tarek Abdullatif said:"One of the main attractions in Qatar is the serene desert which we want to promote and offer people one-of-its-kind experience. Creating a blend of five-star luxury facilities and camping will be a new trend for camping in Doha."

People enjoyed the live jazz band and relished continental flavours along side a live cooking station and barbecue. There were others who had a first time experience of a camel ride along the beach. Some preferred relaxing under the shade of a gazebo and enjoying the beauty of the sea while dining or chatting with friends.
