Regal CineMedia to Present College Football Game Live in High-Definition At Select Movie Theatres.

CSU-UCLA Match Up from the Rose Bowl to Test RCM's New

Digital Video and Communications Network

Regal CineMedia Corporation ("RCM"), the media subsidiary of Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), the largest theatre operator in the U.S., will present the September 7th CSU at UCLA college football game live from the Rose Bowl, captured and delivered in high-definition to theatre screens in Denver, CO and Irvine, CA.

The special sports presentation is the first time a football game has been shown in a movie theatre, and will enable RCM to test market its new technology currently being deployed across the U.S.

RCM is developing the Digital Content Network, the world's largest theatre video and communications network for the delivery of digital content, including on-screen and in-lobby marketing and advertising products, as well as sports, education and entertainment content. RCM previously used its Network to simulcast a Korn rock concert from New York's Hammerstein Ballroom last spring to promote the release of the band's new album. RCM's new advertising and digital content network will be rolled out nationwide in 51 markets to nearly 4,600 screens by the first Quarter of 2004.

The college football game will be shown at the Denver Pavilions Stadium, Greenwood Plaza Stadium and Twin Peaks Mall Theatres, in the Denver, CO, metro area and at the Edwards Theatres Irvine Spectrum Megaplex in Irvine, CA. Tickets for the event range from $10 for adults, $8 for students and $6 for children 12 and under.

The sporting event will be distributed in high-definition via the Digital Content Network through a technical collaborative effort between RCM, Fox Sports Net, HDNet and DIRECTV.
