Reference against Dar adjourned till May 22.
ISLAMABAD -- An Accountability Court (AC) Wednesday adjourned hearing till May 22, against former finance minister Ishaq Dar and other accused in a reference pertaining to assets beyond known sources of income.
During outset of hearing this day, co-accused Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Rizvi's counsel continued cross examining with joint investigation team (JIT) head Wajid Zia.
Zia pleaded that the JIT had started investigation on directions of Supreme Court (SC) to find answers of 13 questions.
Defense Counsel Qazi Misbah adopted the stance that the top court had not given directions for investigation against Ishaq Dar. Wajid Zia deny the objection of defense side.
Misbah asked whether the JIT summoned Ishaq Dar for investigation purpose.
At this, the NAB prosecutor objected on the query of Misbah and asked him to limit his cross-examining to his clients as he was not a legal counsel of former finance minister.
The court adjourned the case till May 22, wherein cross-examining against Wajid Zia would continue on next hearing.
