Ref remembers to keep count.

Byline: By Ian Carbis South Wales Echo

Referee Tommy Skjerven had an eventful week after overseeing Wales' friendly 2-2 draw with New Zealand.

On returning home to Norway to prepare for Saturday's Russia-Andorra clash, Skjerven found himself in demand from his local club.

He took charge of Veitastrond's Division Six match with Norane after the original official was held up by a landslide.

The game finished in a 19-2 win for Veitastrond, with Skjerven saying: "The biggest challenge was to remember to jot down every time someone scored.

"Someone asked if I needed another sheet to write on, but I had two sides."
