Redwood Software Announces OEM with SAP AG to Deliver Advanced Event Driven Job Scheduling Through SAP NetWeaver.
Redwood Software, B.V. today announced they have extended their partnership with SAP AG by signing an OEM agreement to embed Cronacle, Redwood's advanced event-driven job scheduling technology in SAP NetWeaver(TM), SAP's open integration and application platform. The agreement will give SAP NetWeaver customers the ability to centrally manage, monitor and integrate all background processes running in their SAP(R) solution landscape, helping them further lower the cost of ownership. The embedded solution can be extended to also include integration with non-SAP applications providing complete control over enterprise-wide processes. Redwood Software and SAP AG already share a long list of internationally renowned customers such as Basell, Freudenberg IT, Siemens, Westland Helicopters, Coca Cola, and Sony Australia.
Under the terms of the agreement, Redwood will work closely with SAP AG to jointly develop SAP NetWeaver open interfaces for process automation and integrate Redwood's Cronacle in the SAP NetWeaver platform. The agreement includes the worldwide distribution and support for the advanced event driven job scheduling technology in SAP NetWeaver by SAP AG.
Basell Polyolefins Company N.V. Zaventem, Belgium, the world's largest producer of polypropylene and advanced Polyolefins products, was looking at best possible scenarios to integrate SAP NetWeaver into their overall IT landscape and doing it without any interruptions of their existing business processes. It took a particular interest in the way it was managing and executing background processes. If it was to meet the business requirements of around 5000 SAP end-users, it would need to create more flexibility and move away from the time driven batch processing software currently in place, to more dynamic event driven process automation that would cover the entire IT landscape. Redwood Software's Cronacle event driven job scheduling technology for SAP NetWeaver achieved those business challenges and did it in record breaking time without the loss of a single's day work.
"We chose the integrated solution from Redwood Software particularly because its event driven job scheduling technology brought us the necessary operational efficiencies required to meet the competitive challenges of tomorrow", said Mr. Dillenberger, Basell SAP Basis Specialist.
"The job scheduling technology for SAP NetWeaver brings SAP customers advanced process integration capabilities necessary to fully benefit from the unequaled power of the SAP NetWeaver platform. We have always enjoyed a strong relationship with SAP but with the OEM agreement in place I foresee our cooperation intensifying at all levels and bring even greater benefits to the SAP customer" said Anjo de Heus, Senior Vice President Business Development at Redwood Software. "Helping to further lower the cost of technology ownership and bringing increased efficiency to the SAP customer is what brought SAP and Redwood Software together."
