Reds are on the brink of creating new memories.

Byline: Tommy SMITH

LIVERPOOL will equal a club record of 12 straight league wins if they beat Chelsea.

That''s a remarkable achievement and it has put them on the brink of winning the title for the first time in 24 years.

Good luck to Brendan Rodgers and his team. I really hope they do it. Considering the way they have entertained everyone with such an attacking brand of football all season they certainly deserve it.

If this group of players do win the title then they will be heroes at Anfield forever.

I was lucky enough to win a lot of trophies during my Liverpool career and I''m always reminded about what we achieved.

Whenever I''m out shopping with my wife Sue, people want to stop and talk about great games from the past.

Despite it all happening long ago, fans never forget their special memories. It will be the same for this group if they finish the job off.

If they manage to pick up seven points from these remaining three matches they will go down in the history books as champions and they will constantly be reminded about that for decades to come.
