The Red Devils parachute stunt team wowed the crowds at Epsom Downs ahead of the Queen's arrival on Saturday morning.

The soldiers braved high winds to spiral to the ground in a trail of red smoke, some carrying Union Jack flags, ahead of the Derby.

Her Majesty was not present for the display - her motorcade arrived shortly afterwards.

However, around 130,000 spectators filling the stands were wowed by the tumbling parachutists, who landed on an X marked on the racecourse.
