Recycle and repair plea.

Renfrewshire locals are being urged to re-use, recycle and buy secondhand items ahead of Pass It On Week.

Running from March 10 to 18, the week reminds and encourages people to share, upcycle and repair goods at home instead of buying new things.

Recycle for Scotland is calling on community groups, charities, local authorities, businesses, schools, colleges, universities and individuals to get involved.

Members of the community can organise re-use activities to get people passing on itemsthey no longer use, so it can have a new life with someone else.

Whether it's holding a clothes swap, running an upcycling workshop, holding a donation drive or putting on a repair cafe, anything that helps people to keep thingsin use for longer.
