450 pages

Academie de Droit International; Volume 401

The Hague Academy of International Law does not have regular faculty, but invites specialists in different areas to develop and conduct a course, the lectures of which they then publish. This volume contains two courses. The first is Extraterritorial Enforcement of Regulatory Laws by Diane P. Wood. She covers the history of the territoriality principle, the spread of extraterritoriality and its consequence, extraterritoriality aimed at the US, and where we go from here. The other course, in French, is Identite culturelle en droit international prive de la famille by Yuko Nishitani. Among her topics are les phenomenes de conflits de cultures, la pluralite des normes et le conflit d lois, and ordre public et droits fondamentaux. (Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR)
