Three excellent audio cds are top picks for listeners. Lillian Jackson Braun's THE CAT WHO DROPPED A BOMBSHELL (1419369059, $49.75) receives George Guidell's seasoned, experienced and smooth voice in an unabridged story involving another Cat Who mystery. This time Siamese sleuth cats Koko and Yum-Yum are hot on the trail of one who would kill the wealthy Ledfields. Can the cats prevent a murder? Michael Robotham's LOST (1419368974, $119.75) is performed by newcomer Ray Lonnen, who provides a smooth and gripping audio performance to enhance the story of a detective pulled from the Thames with amnesia about events which led to his shooting. His attempts to recovery his memories will lead to some dangerous truths which place him in new danger. Judith Lindbergh's THE THRALL'S TALE (1419369253, $119.75) enjoys narrator Virginia Leishman's extensive experience on stage and as an actor and musician alike: dramatic qualities which translate well to her voice on audio--and to the story by first-time novelist Judith Lindbergh set in 985 AD and telling of a life of a Viking thrall in Greenland. Three women experience a changing world where old beliefs are being replaced by a new religion in this story of social and religious change.
