Record View: Safe schools.

YOU would think your kids would be safe at school but at one secondary in Glasgow the teachers have stopped taking outdoor PE lessons because they can't keep their pupils safe from neds.

A pupil at Ross Hall Academy was assaulted in front of his teacher and classmates by four yobs. Outnumbered, there was nothing the teacher could do to protect him.

Now hundreds of kids will be denied outdoor sports because of a handful of neds.

That cannot be right. Surely we can protect our kids at school?

Teachers are right to be concerned about the safety of their pupils and themselves but the decent majority can't give in to the minority of yobs.

Gangs of thugs shouldn't be allowed to determine what is, and what's not, on the curriculum.
