Reconciliation Conference between Taayesha and Salamt Tribes begins in Nyala.

Nyala, May 26 (SUNA)- A reconciliation conference between Taayesha and Salamat tribes started Thursday at Bulbul Locality, South Darfur State, following differences that erupted two years ago in Rehaid Al-Birdi and Um-Dafog locality. The reconciliation conference was organized by the Commission of Fact, Justice, Justice and Reconciliation of Darfur Regional Authority. In his address in the opening sitting of the conference, the chairmen of the mediators, Chieftain Ibrahim Abdalla, has called on the two sides to give concessions and to show forgiveness for the sake of reaching reconciliation and durable peace. He appreciated the role of Darfur Regional Authority in holding reconciliatory conferences. The Secretary General of the Commission of Fact, Justice, Justice and Reconciliation, Ibrahim Kalamando, has called for forgetting about bitterness and sticking to patience for surpassing the crisis. He called on the commissioners and the native administration to intervene for ending the tensions between the farmers and nomads at Mershing and Netega localities. Kalamindo also called for stay of the regular forces at the areas of the voluntary repatriation of the displaced citizens. The Minister of Local Government and representative of the Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Hassan Khamis Jirro, has called on the two parties to give respect to the relations of good neighboring and inter-marriage between them. He affirmed continuity of the state government's plans for realizing reconciliations, disarming the citizens and expanding the state dignity. MO
