Rebrand at law firm after three decades.
To coincide with the new status, the firm will change its name to Gordon Brown Law Firm LLP as part of a major rebrand and new corporate identity to drive its long-term growth plans.
Set up in 1981 by Gordon Brown, the company has grown into a multi-disciplinary law firm with offices in Newcastle and Chester-le-Street employing more than 80 professionals.
It opened its new commercial headquarters in the heart of Newcastle in 2010 and has used this as a platform for growth, enjoying success across a range of practice areas including commercial and residential property, dispute resolution, family and employment law.
The firm has added to its expertise since then with several senior appointments - including a new partner - and other recruits joining the expanding team.
Gordon Brown, senior partner, said: "It's an exciting time for the firm - a real triple whammy with our anniversary coinciding with our new LLP status and branding.
"It's fantastic to see how the firm has developed over the last three decades and we now have a very strong platform in place for the future.
"Our new commercial headquarters at Hadrian House have given us more visibility and a stronger foothold in the market.
"The new name and branding continues this development and is an important stepping stone for future success."
