Reassurance; Your say.

TO reassure T Welburn (Work Together, (23.11.10) on the fundamental point in relation to the Adult Care Inspection, Redcar & Cleveland Council have implemented a robust action plan based on the inspector's recommendations.

The Christmas/festive lights is only an issue for a minority of political opponents. They are very flexible lights/motifs (festive is a generic word to cover all events) - on the run up to Christmas you can call them Christmas lights then after Christmas you could call them New Year lights, if you want. When the royal wedding takes place on April 29 2011 you could call them royal wedding lights or celebration lights - not forgetting the Queen's diamond jubilee in 2012. Two extra special events to help us celebrate and to forget about the impact of coalition Government cuts.

On his other query (Political Advice, 22.11.10), I can advise Mr Wellburn we have no positions in Redcar & Cleveland Council under the heading of political advisers.

COUNCILLOR GEORGE R DUNNING, Leader, Redcar & Cleveland Council
