Reason to believe.

A WEEK dedicated to humanism and secularism is set to take place at a North East university.

Reason Week, at Durham University from February 12 to February 18, will aim to promote the standpoints of nonbelievers.

It is aimed at helping people to assess their beliefs and organisers say they welcome input from religious groups.

The week includes events such as a Darwin day social on Saturday, which will include a fancy dress bar crawl.

And 8.15pm on Monday, Richy Thompson, the AHS (Federation for Atheist, Humanist, and Secularist Student Societies) will hold a talk on the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.
