Rear View Mirror: THAT'S SUN ACHIEVEMENT.
NISSAN has marked 20 years of production at its Sunderland plant in England.
On the 8th July 1986 a white Nissan Bluebird liftback became the first car produced at the facility which was one of the first Japanese car plants in England.
Initially the plant had 470 staff building 24,000 Bluebirds a year from kits imported from Japan. Now 4,200 employees build 310,000 cars a year. It is one of the world's most efficient car plants.
