Rear View Mirror: 242mph SWEDISH SUPERCAR.

Byline: Brian Twoney

IT'S hard to imagine where in Sweden you'd be able to drive at 242mph, but that hasn't stopped Sweden's supercar company from rolling out an offering to dethrone the 1994 McLaren F1 from its title as the world's fastest production car.

It has 150bhp more than the CC8 S and the 806bhp CCR will, apparently, top 242mph against the McLarens tested 237mph.

However, it must be pointed out that the McLaren could have gone faster but the speed bowl at the Nardo circuit in southern Italy wasn't big enough.

Sales are expected from the end of the year and a price of pounds 307,000 is being quoted.
