RealNetworks and Launch Secure Digital Music Alliance With Exclusive Beck and Foo Fighters Download Promotion.

This agreement leverages RealNetworks' flexible RealSystem MP(TM) architecture to further broaden RealJukebox's support for digital rights management music formats.

As part this initiative, has developed an add-on software "plug-in" for RealNetworks market-leading RealJukebox, allowing RealJukebox users to seamlessly preview, purchase, download and play secure digital music tracks distributed by and its affiliate partners using the Mjuice secure system. Beginning today, the Mjuice plug-in is available immediately via the Help->Check for Update feature in RealJukebox or by downloading Mjuice music files.

To inaugurate the alliance, the companies are working with G.A.S. Entertainment, the industry-renowned artist management company run by John Silva and Gary Gersh, to host an exclusive, free music download promotion for Beck and the Foo Fighters. Starting today, RealJukebox users will be able to download two previously unreleased tracks from Geffen Recording artist Beck and RCA Recording artist Foo Fighters. The tracks include a live version of "Debra," the most-anticipated track from Beck's newly released album Midnight Vultures, and an unreleased acoustic version of the Foo Fighters' smash single "Learn to Fly" from their latest album There is Nothing Left to Lose. Using the Mjuice security system, both tracks will time out thirty days after download.

Both tracks are available as secure promotional downloads on, and, the leading teen community Web site who will be integrating the Beck and Foo Fighters downloads into the company's larger promotions with these artists. The tracks can also be downloaded directly from within RealJukebox's Get Music section. In addition to the audio tracks, RealJukebox users will be able to download custom "skins" or faceplates dedicated to Beck and Foo Fighters from RealJukebox Central (
