Real-life wedding crashers.

"A good friend of mine and I would get all dressed up and slip into the reception, not so much for the food but the free beer. At one reception, the wedding celebrant, Father Hennessey from my parish, cornered me when he eyed me drinking and when he suspected that I had no relation to either the bride or groom. With a twinkle in his eye, he told me the story of my own father as a teenager, crashing receptions in the smelly gym of St. Catherine's Parish. How did Father Hennessey know this? Because he was there beside my father as a fellow wedding crasher!"
