Prior to joining DLA. Ms Armstrong worked for magic circle firm Clifford Chance.

Paul Ray, head of banking at Browne Jacobson, said: "Nina's experience and skills set are a superb fit with our strat-t egy of strengthening our property finance credentials.

"Nina has acted for a number of the region's real estate lead players from property investors to some of the major financial institutions.

"Her substantial experience will be a significant asset and will put us in a unique position by enabling us to offer an integrated banking and real estate service to clients involved in property transactions.

Ms Armstrong added: "Banking and real estate have probably been the most challenged of all the sectors by the cur-r rent economic downturn.

"However, there is a sign that the market is starting to recover with more financing options being made available and new lenders entering the sector."
