An in-depth book about Paisley's legendary cinemas of the past has gone on sale.
As revealed in the Paisley Daily Express, Paisley at the Pictures 1950, by historian Brian Hannan, has become one of the fastest-selling books in the town's history.
Brian said: "I found plenty of surprises in my research.
Not least being the distaste for British-made films.
"Less than nine per cent of the films shown in Paisley in 1950 were from Britain."
The book is available from Neilston Road post office, Ivad, Paisley Abbey gift shop, White Cart gift shop, Blend coffee shop, Abbey Books, and Alan's Barbers as well as Waterstones and online at Amazon.
