Reaching out to the needy.

A NUMBER of Ramadan initiatives have been launched by Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) for the fourth year in a row.

This year's programme included distributing Ramadan baskets to underprivileged families in co-operation with VIVA Bahrain, along with organising a Holy Quran memorisation competition for students from the foundation.

"This year's initiative will witness a faith-filled seminar in Ramadan that will inspire honest, sincere and virtuous work which will be presented by Fatima Al Ali to the students," said MKF chairwoman Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa in a statement.

In addition, Eid clothes will be purchased for orphans from Al Sanabel Orphans Care Society as part of the 'Joy of Eid' campaign.
