Raymond DuPont, 61.

LILBURN, GA Raymond DuPont, age 61, of Lilburn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

Born in Germany on October 9, 1949, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart (Vietnam). Raymond was a graduate of Worcester Boy's Trade and New England College.

He was employed at Jamesbury for 16 years. Mr. DuPont owned and operated RDS Repair (Downtown Worcester & GA). He was an avid golfer, weight lifter and committed much of his time to the Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie (Snow) DuPont, beloved Golden Retrievers Joey and Bart, and cat Maggie of Lilburn. Family members include sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond DuPont, Jr. of Winchendon, Mass. and Michael & Beth DuPont of Charlton, Mass.; sisters, Gisela Trafton of Alstead, NH and JoAnn Katz of Gardner, Mass.; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert DuPont of Brandenberg, KY, Richard and Karen DuPont of Lillian, AL, and William DuPont of Mansfield, OH; several nieces and nephews.
