Raqmiyat gets key Red Hat partner status.

UAE-based Raqmiyat, the primary IT division of Al Ghurair business group, has earned the Advanced Business Partner status from Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions.

A leading systems integrator in the emirates, Raqmiyat said this enhanced partnership will allow the leading systems integrator to address growing regional demand for more complex, high-end open source solutions and consolidate its presence in the Gulf region.

The company has already demonstrated expertise in the Red Hat product portfolio as well as technical, sales and training requirements, it added.

Raqmiyat's status as a Red Hat Advanced Business Partner is the result of the company's continuous efforts to provide a full range of high quality solutions and services to customers across many verticals in the GCC region, said a senior official.

"Attaining this status is a major step forward for Raqmiyat's continuing efforts to create a stronger presence in the region," said Sandeep Saxena, vice president - Technology Solutions, Raqmiyat.

"Our strategic partnership with Red Hat over the past ten years compliments our strong commitment towards investing and prioritizing the development of solutions based on open source platforms for our wide range of customers across different industries and business segments," he noted.

Raqmiyat offers extensive skills training programs and experience in key operational areas like infrastructure, applications, system integration and software migration.

Prior to its accreditation, Raqmiyat was part of the Red Hat Training Program, distributor of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and a provider and integrator for Red Hat solutions.

As part of its focus on providing better service to its customers, the company maintains a large pool of Linux-certified Red Hat Certified Engineers and Red Hat Certified Technicians in the region.- TradeArabia News Service
