Rape trial doc dead.

A DOCTOR accused of raping a nurse died after he was found at his home with serious injuries.

Steven Feenan, 33, faced trial on three counts of raping the same woman in nurse's accommodation.

He denied the offences, alleged to have taken place at the Lister hospital, Stevenage, Herts.

Dr Feenan died at that hospital where he had worked in A&E until the allegations were made in May. Police said they are not treating the death on Saturday as suspicious.

A hospital spokesman said: "The A&E staff are deeply upset by the tragic death of this doctor."
