Range Rover stolen at country car park.

THIEVES stole a Range Rover from a countryside car park. The criminals struck between 3pm and 4.20pm last Sunday when the car was parked in the Plessey Woods car park in Bedlington, Northumberland.

The dark blue 4x4, number plate R446 EWW, was parked next to the information centre and police believe there would have been lots of people around at the time it was stolen.

PC Steve McCourt said: "This is a highly unusual theft in that the incident happened in such a short space of time. There was no evidence to suggest that the thieves smashed any windows to get in. We believe that it may have been uplifted or towed away."

Anyone with information into the theft is asked to contact PC McCourt on 03456 043 043 ext 69191.
