Ramtelecom Inc (TSXV: RTC) announced on 17 September the activation of a new satellite uplink from its Ottawa teleport to facilitate a contract to provide IP satellite services to a 'major large-cap producer of diversified minerals'.

The announcement did not identify the mining corporation. The uplink will provide Ramtelecom with coverage of North America and can be used to service multiple clients.

No details of the cost of the new uplink or financial details of the contract with the mining corporation were disclosed.
