Raise investment through workshops; INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY.

A programme which aims to provide science, engineering and technology companies with the tools needed to develop and raise investment is searching for the brightest stars in the West Midlands.

The Connect Invo Red (Investment Readiness) programme, run by Connect Midlands on behalf of Advantage West Midlands and Business Link, is delivered through a range of workshops.

Delegates learn how to create a winning business proposition and how to prepare for that all important investment deal.

To date, it has already helped companies raise over pounds 26m in funding in the West Midlands alone.

Richard Comer, regional manager for the Connect Invo Red programme, said: "There are two levels of support available within the Invo Red programme.

"The Amber stream is for entrepreneurs with a gem of an idea seeking their first round of company funding and the Green stream, which is one-to-one coaching for more experienced entrepreneurs or businesses that typically have a business model and a management team in place."

The first event is the Right Funds for You workshop, on February 5 at the Hilton Hotel in Coventry.

Following this there will be a wide range of events throughout 2009 at various locations across the region, with events already confirmed at venues in Bromsgrove, Telford, Stafford, Lich field, Birmingham, Warwick and Stoke.
