Rains to continue on Saturday, warmer on Sunday.

LOCAL rains, some of which started Friday mostly in the Larnaca area, are expected to continue with Saturday expected to be cloudy, the met office said, while temperatures are expected to start rising again from Sunday.

On Saturday, temperatures will be slightly lower than the seasonal average; at 32 degrees Celsius inland, 30C on the east coast, 29C along the southern coast, 27C in the north coast and 21C in the mountains.

The weather pattern is expected to change from noon onward to become cloudy and local rain is expected to fall in some of the mountain areas, inland and the southeast coast.

During the night, fog is expected to fall.

From Sunday onwards, temperatures are expected to rise to seasonal levels which is around 34C inland, 32C along the southeast coast, 28C on the east coast and around 25C in the mountains.
