Rains exposes tall claims made by department of Sanitation.

RAWALPINDI, June 30, 2011 (Frontier Star): Recent torrential rains have exposed tall claims made by the department of Sanitation and Cleanliness, Canntonment Board and Chaklala because clogged drainages and heaps of garbage have scattered in the city. First monsoon downpour has become problem in different localities of Rawalpindi viz Tench Bhata,Ghausia intersection, Jan colony, Sher Zaman colony, Misriyaal road, PIA Colony, Habib colony, Gwalmandi, Daryaabad, Mareer intersection, Mareer bridge, Dhowk Chiragh deen and Afshan colony due to poor cleanliness arrangements made by the Sanitation department of Cantonment Board Rawalpindi and Chaklala. The residents complained that after rains water remains inundated on the roads and streets and creates inconvenience for them. The residents have demanded of higher authorities to take notice of the situation and ensure cleanliness during the monsoon.
