Rain will not stop play.

THE hardest-working woman on the Liverpool stage, Pauline Daniels, makes a return to the Actors Studio Theatre in Seel Street this week to appear in John Godber's poignant two-hander September in the Rain.

Pauline stars opposite actor John Evans as Yorkshire couple Jack and Liz.

The play charts their life through their annual summer holiday jaunt across the Pennines to Blackpool.

As they go, they recall their holidays from the first as newlyweds in the golden days of the British seaside break to the last as OAPs.

The play, a bittersweet, touching piece of theatre, is based on John Godber's memories of his own grandparents, who share the names of the lead characters. ? September in the Rain is at the Liverpool Actors Studio Theatre in Seel Street from tomorrow to Saturday and again from October 1-4 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee.

Tickets are PS12/PS10 on 0151-709 9034.
