Railway modellers delighted at open day turnout.

AN open day organised by Huddersfield Railway Modellers was a big success.

Almost 100 people attended the event at Stonefield Mills in Tanyard Road, Milnsbridge.

The day included a number of operational layouts and modelling demonstrations.

Publicity officer Grahs am Harpham said: "It was quite a success and we were very pleased with the turnout.

"This is the first of two open days we are holding, the next one being in September.

"Our annual exhibition is on October 30/31 at Holmfirth Civic Hall."

Huddersfield Railway Modellers has around 45 members ranging in age from 16 to enthusiasts in their 80s.
