Railway Minister Trivedi offers job to families of Kalka Mail train accident victims.
"Life can never be compensated with money or anything but just to make life easier for those who are there (alive) - somebody mighty have lost only person who was the bread earner. So one job per family is what the railways is going to do," said Trivedi after taking oath in New Delhi.
"I am straight going to the site of accident. My leader Mamata Banerjee has also directed me - that is first thing we have to do - and that is very important for me," he added.
Trivedi further said that his priority is to oversee the completion of pending developmental projects across the country and ensure safety for the passengers.
"The projects, which have been announced which is a huge thing-whether the project is in Bengal or another part of the country. All these projects - that was Mamata Banerjee priority also - so this is definitely going to be priority. Safety has zero tolerance (sic)," he added.
At least 68 people died and around 249 persons got injured, when 15 bogies of a speeding Delhi-bound Kalka Mail derailed near Malwan station on Sunday afternoon.
