Rahul Dravid uncertain for England series.
Mumbai, Nov. 28 (ANI): Rahul Dravid's test future looks uncertain as a wind of change sweeps through Indian cricket ahead of two tests against England scheduled next month.
Dravid, who has been the strength of India's middle order since long, has looked tentative after he gave up captaincy to focus on his batting last year.
Dravid, the third highest run getter in tests for India, has managed just 268 runs in 13 innings in two series against Sri Lanka and Australia recently.
Dravid looked in woeful form, scoring just 120 runs in four Tests, as India won their first series in seven years against Australia.
Commenting on whether to drop him or give him another chance, former India captain and opener Sunil Gavaskar said "If he was 29 and he had gone through this kind of bad patch, you would persist with him, wouldn't you?"
With Yuvraj Singh, in great form against England in the one-dayers and many younger players knocking at the door, Dravid may well find himself out of the test team in nearly a decade. (ANI)
