Look for Jerry Atchley, station owner and general manager at KSSN 96 FM, to make an announcement by the end of this month that Southern Skies Corporation, which operates KSSN as well as KZSN in Witchita, Kansas, will bring "a third child into the family." While Atchley says he's considered acquiring stations in several parts of the country, he won't get specific on how he's narrowing down his choices.

Another word on radio: If you're not a regular listener of the Pat Lynch show on KARN AM 920, you may not have heard that former Attorney General Steve Clark will be guest host Jan. 29 while Lynch is on vacation. Lynch has made the announcement on air by promising his listeners that Clark will have "several entertaining guests." Actually, the three-hour show featuring Clark by himself ought to be rather interesting!
